‘UTSAV’ (Swiss Bengali Association) is a newly created organization created to share the magical thread of Bengali culture in Switzerland. It has been created to celebrate Bengali cultural and religious festivals, right here in Switzerland.
Celebration such as Durga- Puja, Saraswati- Puja, these are some of the foremost Hindu religious festival of West Bengal and Bangladesh as well as of Bengali societies in other parts of India and the world.
Such festivals will be open to public and will be reckoned as ‘ Sarbojanin’.
A group of Bengali / Non- Bengali residents of Switzerland has formed UTSAV in Late 2018. Since then we have celebrated our maiden event ‘ Saraswati Puja 2019’, right here in Vevey, Canton Vaud, Switzerland and is envisaged to be continued in the following years. The following statutory articles are made out of the years experience and according to the legal formalities of Switzerland. They will guide the association in future.
As Per Statutory Articles
"UTSAV" is a non-profit Hindu socio-religious association, organized according to the articles 60 of Swiss Civil Code (ZGB) 1. In all the social, cultural and ritual activities of the association the present Bengali cultural/religious is followed. Every individual is considered to be equal and may contribute towards any of the tasks for these events according to his or her capability irrespective of age, sex, status, class or caste. It is neutral politically, and non-denominational.
